Aaron Glasgow was one of the founders of Radio Tierra. As the main technician for the station, Aaron donated hundreds of hours of his time to make Radio Tierra a reality. His dedication to the station — and bravery — was unforgettably demonstrated on that windy and snowy day on January 24th of 2004 when he climbed the tower of the Hood River hospital to initiate the first broadcast for Radio Tierra.

Aaron is the owner of Edprogress, founded in 2000 to create custom software for the educational markets.

Hey, Is this thing on?

Things are pretty crazy here backstage at Radio Tierra. Everyone’s got their own jobs and projects and they work hard enough at those, let alone busting their rumps to do things like create grant applications, network design and great programming. It’s amazing that it all comes together, yet somehow it seems to.

Recently, we changed our domain back to RadioTierra.org and the site’s accented characters all broke- but they got fixed nearly immediately (and I didn’t even know!). The individual pages about scheduling, contacts, etc. were similarly down, but they’re up again, and stable.

And the best part, our stellar DJs are now beginning to open their blogs. Sacred Earth and Celtic Earth both have blogs and more are coming (including That Dusty Blog, once I get a chance to get it back again).

All of this couldn’t happen without the incredible work of Los Voluntários, and that means that you can be a part of it. If you’d like to start a show on Radio Tierra, or help out in other ways, contact us (but be patient, please. All of us are part-time volunteers, so we’re often working on something of a different timescale than people are used to).
