Real or fictional, we’re still living with greatness of American Roots Music. From Irish Peasants escaping the English Whip to Slave familys feeling the American one, Roots music has grown from and defined the struggle and joy of the American experience.

I’m John Metta, your host for a weekly trip down That Dusty Road where we listen to everything from Robert Johnson to Art Farmer to Earl Skruggs. American Roots music at it’s best from the Delta to the streets of Chicago.

That Dusty Road is a two hour radio show on Radio Tierra, KZAS 95.1 FM in Hood River, Oregon. I’ll soon have a blog up as a supplement to the show where I’ll be hosting podcasts, interviews, reviews and random thoughts about American Roots music and the American Experience.
