El Duranguense también conocido como el pasito duranguense es un género de música que tiene sus orÃgenes en el estado de Durango en México. Es uno de los estilos musicales más populares entre las comunidades méxico-estadounidenses.
HistoriaSe originó en Durango, un estado del noroeste mexicano (de ahà su nombre). Sin embargo, debido a que en el área metropolitana de Chicago, Illinois existe una comunidad grande de inmigrantes procedentes de Durango, el pasito duranguense es más popular en ese lugar. Muchos de los conjuntos de pasito duranguense fueron fundados en Chicago por inmigrantes procedentes de Santiago Papasquiaro, Guanacevì, Canatlán, Tepehuanes, Santa Maria del Oro y la ciudad de Durango (la capital del estado). Y extendiéndose asà hasta rebasar todo tipo de fronteras siendo agrupaciones como “Picudos Duranguenses” el primer grupo de este genero en llegar a otros paÃses como Costa Rica,Perú,venezuela y algunos mas. |
Duranguense (also known as el pasito duranguense) is a genre of Mexican music. It is popular among the Mexican-American community in the United States. Duranguense is closely related to the Mexican styles of banda and norteño. The main instruments, which are held over from banda, are the saxophone, trombone, and bass drum. However, what sets the duranguense ensemble apart from banda is the addition of synthesizers to play both melodies and the tuba bassline. The tempo is also noticeably faster than banda or norteño. Among the duranguense elements carried over from other genres is el tamborazo; a heavy percussion line consisting of the bass drum and varied snare drum rolls.
HistoryThe term Duranguense refers to the people from Durango, Mexico. Duranguense began and was invented in the city of Chicago (United States). Grupo Montez de Durango were the very 1st to begin the movement. Some people consider Chicago to be the capital of Duranguense Bandas since it is so popular among the people in Chicago. Teenagers forming new bands like never before, playing at night clubs,weddings, Quinceñeras, and family get togethers. A group of immigrants from Durango started a duranguense group called Patrulla 81; from there it started to expand into other states and Mexico. Most duranguense bands have been founded by Mexican-American immigrants in the United States. |
